Literary contests mark IDADAIT in Zunheboto

[caption id="attachment_191683" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Winners of the literary competition pose for a group photo with the police personnel in Zunheboto on June 26.[/caption] Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Commemorating the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT), DEF Zunheboto has organised an inter-school speech and placard/ slogan competition on June 26. Altogether representatives from eleven schools have participated in the competition. In the speech competition for standard IX and X on the topic “Causes and effects of drugs abuse,” Tughunaka K Zhimo from Olympic Higher Secondary School was declared the winner. The second and third positions were given to Ms Kamakshi Sahoo from Love Dale Higher Secondary School and Akivito from Cornerstone Higher Secondary School. In the speech competition for standard XI and XII on the ‘Prevention of illicit trafficking of drugs,’ Ayeluto from Woodland Higher Secondary School was declared the winner. The second and third positions were given to Ms Lino H Zhimo from Love Dale Higher Secondary School, and Ms Amenkali H Yeptho from Immanuel Higher Secondary School. In the placard/slogan making competition, Merry Hill High School was declared winner, while the second and third positions were given to Bloom Field Higher Secondary School and Sun Beam High School. Around 500 students from various schools, along with officials of Sumi Totimi Hoho, Zunheboto Range Students’ Union, Zunheboto Town Youth organisation and citizens of Zunheboto attended the programme. After the programme, police personnel along with students and NGOs undertook a march around the Zunheboto town with placard and posters to create awareness among the general public.
