DIMAPUR — The Lions Club of Dimapur celebrated its annual Diwali Mela on October 27 at its premises under the chairpersonship of Sumit Jaiswal.
According to an update, over 1,500 people from different communities attended the day-long event. It featured food and game stalls for the public to enjoy.
Lions Club of Dimapur president Ankit Jain emphasised the significance of the Mela as a fundraising event that enables the club to support the community year-round. He noted several social initiatives backed by the club, including free eye screenings and cataract operations, the Lions Health Centre, and the Community Club, among others.
