Lions Club of Dimapur Elite organises international peace poster competition for students.

DIMAPUR — The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite on Friday organised the international peace poster contest on the theme “Together as one” at Wandering Minds College of Fine Arts, Dimapur.
An update from the club stated that the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 27 students representing 10 schools and 1 from Fine Arts School, all between the ages of 11 to 13 years.
It stated that the young participants expressed the theme with vibrant colours, unique concepts and powerful messages of peace and harmony. It added that their drawings reflected a deep understanding of unity and togetherness, leaving the audience deeply inspired.
The event was ably led by project chairperson, Isha Jain, with co-chairpersons Maya Jain and Sakshi Jain under the leadership of its president, Meena Jain, and the secretary, Prernaa Maheswarri.
In the competition, Asyana Ningshen from Livingstone Foundation International won the first prize, while Debnath from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dimapur, and Jeevika Debnath from Chitrakala School of Fine Arts secured the second and third prizes respectively.
Besides, consolation prizes were awarded to five students for their outstanding efforts and creativity.
Adding to the artistic spirit of the day, Yanger conducted a calligraphy workshop after the competition, which provided the children with an enriching creative experience.
Meanwhile, the organisers have lauded the children for their remarkable artistic expressions and reaffirmed the club’s commitment to promoting peace and nurturing young talent.
