Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Venda organises a panel discussion on social-emotional learning for students, parents, and teachers.

DIMAPUR — The Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Venda organised a panel discussion on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) titled "Voices of SEL" at Livingstone Foundation International on August 31.
The event, which was the sixth project of Rohit Mehta's Lions Quest Week, saw participation from over 250 students, parents, and teachers, according to an update.
The keynote speaker and resource person was Linoto Assumi, Psychotherapist and Mental Health Consultant at Hope Counselling Clinic, alongside Priya Bhattacharjee, a counselling psychologist.
During the session, the speakers addressed ways to manage depression, anxiety, and stress, methods for achieving goals, and the impact of a good life. It was pointed out that by focusing on building a good life, individuals can develop essential life skills and strategies needed to manage stress and achieve their goals.

Delivering the welcome speech, President of Lions Club of Dimapur Blue Venda, Falguni Sharma, noted the significance of social-emotional learning among students, particularly those undergoing puberty.
She expressed her goal to hold similar seminars across schools to provide social support and develop emotional stability in students of different age groups through counselling.
