Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): Lions Club of Dimapur, in association with Loomba Foundation and Lions Club International, distributed free foot sewing machines to the widows on November 3 at Lions Centre, Dimapur.
Additional deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Albert Ezung attended the programme as a special Invitee. Altogether 30 numbers of foot sewing machines were given free of cost to the widows.
According to the Club PRO Sushil Paharia, foot sewing machines were given away with the main aim to uplift the economy of widows. The program was organised under the chairmanship of Kamal Sharma.
Lions Club has been undertaking social services by organising eye screening camp, medical camp, education help, Lions health centre for immunisation.
