
DIMAPUR — The Lions Club of Dimapur conducted a free eye screening camp under the chairmanship of Lion Pawan Maheswari on September 21 and 22 at Midland in Dimapur.
In a press release, president Lion Ankit Jain stated that a total of 1,125 patients were successfully screened, out of which 182 were detected with cataracts. All cataract patients will be sent to Jorhat in batches, where free cataract surgeries sponsored by the Lions Club of Dimapur will be conducted.
It was informed that this free eye screening camp is one of the main projects of the club, held annually at the Lions Club Ground in Dimapur.
The chairman and president thanked all the lion and leo members who were present during the two-day eye check-up camp, along with the CMO office, media personnel, and the general public of Dimapur for their cooperation in making the camp a success.
