- KOHIMA — Lima Longchar from Nagaland ranked
third in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) World Cup of Darts India
qualifier 2025, earning a spot as a standby player for the World Cup of Darts to
be held from June 12-15 in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Six players from Nagaland Darters, namely Limatoshi,
Vikehelie Suohu, Kezhaletuo Semou, Lijan Humtsoe, Simon Angami and Viboto Sumi,
participated in the PDC World Cup of Darts India qualifier 2025, on April 26-27
at Bengal Rowing Club, Kolkata, an update stated.
- It was informed that a total of 133 Indian citizen players
from across the country participated in the qualifier, competing for the top
two spots to represent India at the World Cup of Darts.
- Longchar finished 3rd, reaching the quarterfinal, semifinal,
and final in the qualifier rounds, narrowly missing a spot on the Indian team
for the World Cup of Darts.
- He will be a standby player for Team India in case of any
last-minute changes. The selected team consists of Nitin Kumar (No.1) from
Dubai and Mohan Goel (No. 2) from Kolkata.

- Meanwhile, another two players, namely Vikehelie and
Kezhaletuo also participated in the annual Bengal Rowing Club (BRC)
championship prior to the India qualifier from April 23-25, where the duo as
part of 6-member DITVIAAN team emerged winners in the team event.
- Kezhaletuo with his partner Viral Metha from Kolkata emerged
winners in the BRC Open Doubles and he also finished at top 16 in the men’s BRC
open singles category.
