Dimapur, Aug. 11 (EMN): Libra Consultancy, an education wing of India Northeast Tribal Community Welfare Society (INTCWS), Notun Bosti, Dimapur, conducted a free career oriented educational seminar for the students of Greenwood Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, from Classes X to XII (Arts and Science) on August 9.
In the first session, resource person Christina focussed on the importance of career planning at the early stage to prepare students mentally and work towards achieving their dream career. She stated that career planning should be made on the basis of students’ interests, aptitude, skills, values, personality.
Students were also encouraged to keep their career options open so that they will have a back-up plan in case of any eventuality. The resource motivated the students that in today’s technological world they need to manipulate information to their utmost advantage, since knowledge is at easy disposal with the touch of a finger. In order to log in to success, discipline is the user id while hard work is the password, resource persons stated.
She further advised the students to be curious of things around them, build concentration and be confident.
In the second session, both resource person and the chairman of INTCWS, Atsei Sekhose, interacted with the students on a personal and one on one counselling. They spoke on the available career options, scopes and job prospects, and deliberated on different competitive exams like public services, NEET, JEE, NATA, NSEE and other entry point exams into different professional courses.
Students were provided tips and practical steps on how to prepare for those exams. Altogether, more than 600 students attended the seminar.
