Dimapur, Amy 24 (EMN): The Liangmai Theological Aruang (LTA) held its 27th General Conference under the theme “Building Kingdom Stewards” at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur from May 22-24, with LBA women secretary, P. Azon as the theme speaker.
The resource persons Kairisi Chewang, Mission Cordinator of TVBC and S.P. Tunchapbo, Research Scholar (Kolkata) presented papers on “Witnessing Christ in the changing world: A missiological response” and “Jesus’ Model of transformation: A missiological response” respectively.
The resource persons focused on the holistic approach in building kingdom stewards and resolved to stress on the approach. The attendees also deliberated on ministerial concern within and outside giving its priority to home based missions.
During the conference, LTA reaffirmed the importance of relocating the site of the mission in the changing world. Observing the spiritual decadency in their Church, LTA urged the Church to strive for active participation in restoring its health.
The members also appended the seriousness in sifting to respond to the reality of religious atrocities and come into consensus, appealing everyone to uphold religious tolerance for harmonious existence.
The LTA expressed heartfelt gratitude to Life Spring Corner management for their generosity and Christian gesture which is a living testimony for everyone.
Over 40 members attended the conference.
Meanwhile, LTA also elected Wichampou Nchang, Paramthonang, Kiziule Chewang and Chunsan Chewang as president, vice president, general secretary and joint secretary respectively.
