Dimapur, Jan. 26: Liangmai Council Nagaland (LCN) has resolved to stand with the Nagas in opposing to holding the urban local bodies elections, while it also directed all the Liangmai in Nagaland not to get themselves involve in the election matter.
It has asked all candidates, who have already filed nomination, to forfeit their candidature. It is better late than never to be with Nagas, the release said.
Meanwhile, LCN president Kingudi Joseph warned Namri Nchang, MLA 6 Tening AC, and other political party leaders in Tening town of non cooperation and other action in going against the wishes of the Naga people. It further appealed to the Chief Minister and his cabinet to once again listen to their conscience not forgetting the voice of the Nagas.
