Kohima, October 3 (EMN): The three-day Lhisemia Sports Meet 2021 organised by Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO), which commenced from Sep. 30 concluded on Saturday evening at TM Government Higher Secondary School, Rüleizou in Kohima.
On the first day, athletics events and basketball were conducted at Indira Gandhi Stadium and Northfield Khikha in Kohima. While on the second day, outdoor games such as football and volleyball were conducted at Indira Gandhi Stadium.
The sports meet concluded on the third day with open wrestling held at TM Government Higher Secondary School, Krouliezou in Kohima.
In the open wrestling competition, Keviser Dzüvichü stood first while Thejangulie Linyü was placed second. Vijalie Suokhrie and Theyiechü Yhome bagged the third and fourth titles respectively.
Meanwhile, Vizatuo Yhome, Additional SP, PHQ, Kohima attended the sports meet on Saturday as the guest of honour.
Salhourü Cielie, president of LYO, informed that while conducting the sports meet, players were also selected to represent the Lhisemia khel in the 65th Kohima Village Sports Association Meet, 2022. Altogether, it was informed that about 70 participants took part in the three-day meet.
