DIMAPUR — In commemoration of World Plastic Bag Free Day, a team of 40 NCC cadets belonging to the junior division and senior wing of Livingstone Foundation International along with the associate NCC officer and second officer, Kajenkala T Longchar, undertook a cleanliness drive along the Sangtamtilla stretch of Dhansiri River in Dimapur on July 3.

An update from the institute stated that the cadets have cleaned up plastic wastes and other debris on both the banks along the Sangtamtilla stretch of Dhansiri River during the cleanliness drive, which was conducted from 9:30 am to 11 am.

It stated that the cleanliness drive was undertaken as a part of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan (PSA) initiated by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to conduct social service and community development activities from July 3 to the 9th.
