DIMAPUR — The Livingstone Foundation
International (LFI) hosted a one-day programme on road safety awareness on
Wednesday.
The programme, which was conducted as part of a CSR
initiative by Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., was divided into
three separate sessions for students of Grades-I to XII.
The main speakers and resource persons of the programme were
Abhilash Singh, area in-charge, and Ravinder Kumar, section manager of road
safety training and promotion, east region of Honda Motorcycles & Scooter
India Pvt. Ltd. They were accompanied by Yakub Wanghu Konyak and Amit, sales
consultants from Riven Honda, Dimapur.
An update from the school stated that the interactive
session mostly dwelt on the various aspects of road safety and the ways and
means to mitigate the causes of road accidents in India. The resource persons
also elaborated on Honda's vision of a collision-free society in which all
people could move freely guided by their curiosity, with a sense of security
and peace of mind.
It mentioned that the road safety awareness programme at
Livingstone Foundation International also amplified Honda’s April 2021
announcement of its goal of achieving zero fatalities in traffic accidents
involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles worldwide by 2050.
It further added that Honda is working toward a
collision-free society, not only as its social responsibility but also to
realise a joyful future for all.
