LFC: Vungotchu FC and Mt.Morashen enter semis

Dimapur, Feb. 6 (EMN): Vungotchu FC and Mt.Morashen entered the semi-finals of the ongoing 9th edition of the Lotha Football Championship played at the Wokha local ground on Wed. Feb. 6. In the first quarter-finals, Vungotchu FC defeated Friends Club through a tie-breaker after the match ended in 1-1 draw. Yunshalo netted an early goal for Vungotchu in the first half of the match, but Sulanthung scored the equaliser in the 69th minute and the match had to be decided through a tie-breaker. In the second quarter-finals, Mt.Morashen beat WRSU, Wozhuro 4-1 to enter the semi-finals for the first time. Nzanbemo scored hat-trick in the 54th, 88^th, and 91st minute of the game. Sinlo also contributed one goal for Mt.Morashen in the added time. The lone goal for WRSU came from the boots of Mhonchan.
