- WOKHA — In the
ongoing Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2025 at the public ground in Wokha,
the first quarter-final match on Saturday was played between XI Brothers and
Titans XI. The former, also the two-time consecutive defending champions,
defeated Titans XI 14-0.
- Hatsabemo scored a record nine goals in the 14th, 20th,
33rd, 39th, 40th, 59th, 75th, 79th, and 80th minutes. Benri Murry scored two
goals in the 24th and 85th minutes, while Woshon (34), Mhonthung (65), and
Awangpo (78) each scored one goal for XI Brothers.
- The second quarter-final match was played between Nitsyan FC
and Friends Club, with Nitsyan FC winning 3-1. The match was halted due to
crowd disturbances around the 38th minute. The first half continued with
Nitsyan FC scoring a goal from Yiben in the 23rd minute.
- In the second half, Lichonthung of Friends Club equalised
with a goal in the 57th minute. However, Friends Club could not stop Yiben, who
scored two more goals in the 77th and 79th minutes, registering a hat-trick in
the final match of the day.
