Common life pave with the beats of the upcoming elections. A state which is rational yet naive in terms of electing our programs to shoulder our responsibilities. Issues are voluminous, everyone knows about it, every individual knows it yet deeds remain scarcely poor. Certain and manifold vested interest organizations banner up to bring change yet for slow while the ramp is aflame and stiff. Then we see one's family, clan and villages holding tribalistic views manifesting proclamatory egotistical trait towards their own which we inculcated from evil ones among ourselves. Churches impact and churches downfall that diminishes the trend of faith can also be seen alternately. A bureaucrat insufflating bewildering minds of the ambitious juveniles is vogue and becomes a victim of the fallen; many young skilful gifts and epitome leaders have gone unseeing by breed of money and greed for power: only few justifiably reach it. Wealth has become a boom for the poor while the leaders got privileges to play his/her dice vehemently astute. We are found of beleaguering our leaders to the extent of killing yet our hands with curiosity prosper them on the other side placing oneself amidst their trend. A new divine is what every elderly citizens and parents cried for, least guiding the diplomatic furtive movements. Naga and Tribal HoHos, the various Organizations, insurgents and including the ingenious student bodies... are all flooded in corruption and the most recently influential ACAUT has all been a mere mirage. It's all beyond its limit to shun away from.
Agriculturist dreams are hauled due to deficit funds while officials fail to promote it for self-extended. Free corruption Christian state Nagaland is dreamed only by dreamers, digital Nagaland is close yet too far, and smart city seems just an illusion. Our roads implies of what we are as whole, our hospital patients schemes are looted instead of reaching them, students money are diverted to their numbers, deserving candidates failed to acquire their jobs, teachers salary are flowing in their sink, developmental project aspects are drained out.....Yet whom do we really blame when we first Rob them by selling ourselves to vote?
Our Christian faith encourages a change in all perspective right from heathen people to religious beings, from lowly people to the high class, from the dark to white skins; to every individual of the soils of this earth. Change is a word that every Nagas craves for be it bias or real, it’s an unfinished task. Everybody knows solution is in our hand beginning from I, You and Me to consent leaders yet we least bother it and when something turns awkward we see banners, posters, graffiti’s criticizing with dynamic voices in volumes as if solutions has already got the answer, but in truth it always succumb in the end. Money, Money, Money is something each individual cannot be eschewed from and that’s where spine-chilling things are inherited to ablaze its own glory.
'Change' our main theme be renovated better this election, many fights has gone unheard, many articles for change has been published yet un-notice, many prayers has been unsaid, many promises has being broken, many lives has been lost, many future has been ruined....all has proven futile.
Let’s put forth the good mark in pragmatism input and avail our Christian faith firm. Let’s not forget our pioneers who sacrificed for a better Naga, let’s not forget our vision to reach the unreached, let’s not forget that we are the banner of our respective churches and let’s not forget that we are sons and daughters of Warriors who stood for integrity, truth and justice with their last dying breath. Let’s pace the tedious road we travelled by and live to make a change for a better Nagaland and see the changes within the change in us through the genuine candidate we chose and vote for. Nagaland for Christ be restored through us by our new elected leaders, where then we will see a faraway utopian state unfolding right before our eyes.
Change will not come if you wait for some else to do the right thing, you are the change that you and I seek. You are the change that the Nagas need.
Long live Nagaland.
