Kohima, June 22 (EMN): The district administration on June 18 has eased some restrictions in Kohima through an order on June 18, allowing commercial establishments and markets to open from 7 am - 4 pm during week days, but unlike in the initial lockdown period, no rush was observed this time.

The streets of the state capital wore a deserted look on Monday before 3 pm as most shops were closed except few vegetable vendors.

"We have just come out for sale in the afternoon but there are no customers to buy; though we are allowed to sell up to 4 pm," a vegetable vendor told Eastern Mirror.

While closure of educational institutions, gyms, sporting activities, public meetings etc. remain in force, some offices have opened but with skeletal staff.
