Lenien Jamir, representing Assam, today lifted the All India Tennis Association (AITA) Ranking Championship Series-7 tournament at the Prostar Tennis Academy, Gurgaon. After going down in the first set, she produced as spirited comeback and convincingly beat Renee Singh of Jaipur 4-6, 6-1 and 6-1.
In the semi final she beat Sana Khanna of Mumbai 7-6(7-0), 6-2. Earlier last week, Lenien Jamir and Raina Zaffar, also of Assam, finished runner-up in the U-18 Championship Series at Karnal, Haryana.Results of Lenien Jamir
