Dimapur, July 18 (EMN): Legislators’ Fellowship programme organised by the NPF Legislature Party was held in Kohima today led by Toyang Changkong Chang. Hukavi Zhimomi invoked God’s blessing, while Nuklutoshi led in scripture reading from the book of Jeremiah 29:11-14.
Guest speaker of the Fellowship programme, Rev. Robert Kikon preached on the theme ‘Parenting the next generation in weakness.’ Citing II Corinthians 11:30, Kikon said that if one must boast, it must be of the things that showed one’s weaknesses.
Inspiring the Fellowship with the word of God, Robert Kikon, pastor of Father’s House Church based in Dimapur said, ‘when we bring our weaknesses before Jesus, He gives us relief.’ ‘God has a plan for you and that is why he has seated you in the highest seat of the State,’ he told the legislators. Giving a powerful and inspiring sermon, Kikon spoke on the importance of building a strong spiritual relationship with God by referring to II Corinthians 12:9-10, Malachi 4:6 and Isaiah 58:6-12.
The programme ended with a benediction pronounced by C Apok Jamir.
