Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): A number of ruling legislators are going around visiting project sites in capital town Kohima ‘to maintain better coordination between departments and various implementing agencies which will help in serving the public better.’
Updates on Sunday informed that one such ‘inspection’ was undertaken by Metsubo Jamir, minister for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs; Tongpang Ozukum, minister for PWD; and Neikiesalie Kire, advisor for Rural Development. The date of their visiting the project areas was not mentioned in the updates.
The team visited the multi-level parking facility at PR Hill; cultural hall, at the old NST; super market, ISBT and drainage sites, the reports said. The team inspected the Lerie-BSF camp road to “check the possibility of construction of an alternate route for commuters and to ease the woes of traffic in Kohima,” too.
Likewise, they are said to have visited the Sanourii Bridge along the Secratariat road, and the Tinpati-Naga Hospital bypass road, which were affected by landslides during the recent monsoon.
‘The inspection was done so as to maintain better coordination between departments and various implementing agencies which will help in serving the public better,’ the updates informed.
