Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): Mon District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) organised a legal awareness programme with legal literacy club members at the school auditorium of the Government Higher Secondary School, Mon ‘D.’
Retainer lawyer M Moba, in his keynote address, highlighted on the guidelines and activities of legal literacy clubs. He also encouraged to bring to the notice of teacher in-charge on incidents of ragging, bullying, or any kind of injustice and atrocity of any nature. He further spoke on constitutional rights and responsibilities.
K Topha spoke on ‘Consumer Act and Motor Vehicle Act.’ He explained in detail on the provisions of the acts.
The school vice principal delivered a short speech.
N Manon, DLSA project assistant, in her closing remarks, spoke on the importance of LLC and apprised the member to co-operate with the legal services authority. She also acknowledged the teacher in-charge and students for making necessary arrangement and for attending the programme.
The programme was chaired by Tingkai Konyak, PLV. Altogether, 300 LLC members attended the programme.
