Dimapur, March 29 (EMN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed objection to the practise of ‘attaching’ assistant/associate professors with ‘any of the VIPs’.
In a letter addressed to the minister of Higher Education and Technical Education, the student organisation stated that ‘lecturers are supposed to be teaching in their posted institutions’ and not be a part of ‘any VIP’ team.
“Therefore, the union apprises and appeals your good office to take this matter seriously and not to allow attachment of any assistant/associate professors with VIPs and detach the aforementioned immediately if there is any as this would directly affect the institution jeopardising the student community. The office of the ANCSU would be vigilant in this regard and will not compromise under any condition that would hamper the students’ welfare,” it stated.
