Leading dental clinic in Kohima marks 10th anniversary

KOHIMA — Advanced Dental Aesthetic and Implant Clinic, one of Nagaland’s leading dental care centres, marked a decade of service with its 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday at Sozo Complex, Mohankhola, Kohima.

Addressing the event, Dr. Pfukrulo Koza, consultant visiting specialist, presented the journey of Advanced Dental Aesthetic and Implant Clinic and recalled that the clinic started in 2015 after like-minded doctors (dentists) realised the need to provide quality dental care to patients.

He said the clinic’s venture was also to provide a platform for specialist doctors to give their speciality treatments with the necessary facilities and equipment.

Acknowledging God for the milestone of the clinic reaching its 10th anniversary, he also thanked all its valued customers and patients who had put their trust in the services provided by the doctors.

He recalled that back in 2015 the clinic first started with three doctors and two specialists with only two dental chairs, and in 2017 the clinic improved its facilities. Subsequently, after 2019, more doctors came forward and joined the clinic.

“The journey of the clinic is based on need, and at the same time it is the patients and the commitment of the doctors that have helped it grow,” he said.

Dr. Koza maintained that the clinic is now one of the best-equipped and largest dental clinics in Nagaland, providing facilities like dental laser surgery, microscopic surgery, complex and advanced dental implant surgery, smile design, conscious sedation, and credited the teamwork behind it.

Highlighting its achievements, the consultant visiting specialist stated that the clinic has the highest number of dental implant placements—approximately 1,100 implants benefitting hundreds of patients—while the clinic is considered to have performed the first bone block grafting, bone ridge split surgery, sinus lift surgery, All-on-four implants, and plastic surgery for lip repositioning in gummy smiles, among others.

It was also informed that the clinic has the highest number of dental specialists under one roof, besides being among the first clinics to use CAD/CAM prosthesis facilities and having the distinction of conducting the first dental implant course for dentists in their clinic.

Reiterating the commitment to care, Dr. Koza stated that the clinic's mission has always been centred on holistic care and providing the best treatment facilities under one roof by continuously upgrading treatment techniques and equipment.

Meanwhile, he also spoke about the initiative taken by the team of doctors from the clinic and others called the Kekhro Smile Foundation (KSF), a Nagaland-based non-governmental organisation primarily focused on promoting oral health, hygiene, and reaching the unreached through charitable means. Furthermore, he shared about future plans for a charitable clinic and also the inclusion of more doctors into the team.

Dr. Imyangluba, paediatric dentist at Advanced Dental Aesthetic and Implant Clinic, spoke about the future plans of the clinic and announced that it would open a new satellite branch with three dental chair facilities initially at Tinpati Junction, Kohima, by the end of this year.

He added that the initiative to open a new branch was to cater to the needs of patients, as many also come from Meriema, High School, Bayavü, and other adjoining areas.

Dr. Imyangluba also informed that the clinic is incorporating AI technologies and other latest equipment along with more specialists to meet the needs of patients.

The event was chaired by Dr. Vetsole H Koza, Managing Director of Advanced Dental Aesthetic and Implant Clinic, while vote of thanks was tendered by Dr. Dzutholu Thingo, general dentistry and oral implantologist at the clinic.

The occasion was attended also by reigning Miss Universe Nagaland, Kelülü Dawhuo.
