Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): With the objective to develop effective and ethical leaders, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of C-Edge College (CEC) organised a leadership training programme on Oct. 12 CEC students forum (SF) leaders, house leaders, hostel prefects and former CEC SF leaders attended the programme.
The resource persons for the training programme, which was held on the theme ‘great leaders, great team and great results’, were Vishal Chauhan, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police and N. Bhavani, IAS, Assistant Commissioner.
During the first session, the dy. commissioner of police, Vishal Chauhan spoke on the topic Defining an effective leadership, the assistant commissioner, N Bhavani spoke on the topic ‘leadership and teamwork’. The sessions was based on PowerPoint lectures with interactive time between the resource persons and the participants.
In the second session, the department of management studies on developing leadership skills which was fully practical and activity based on team work, interpersonal skills and leadership related case studies.
In the concluding remarks, the training programme coordinator, Inza, encouraged that the participants should uphold the leadership qualities and keep on that path so as ‘to show the value of the training and the certificate received’ during the programme.
He also thanked everyone who made the day an effective and successful one. The programme concluded with distribution of certificates and also sharing of thoughts by the students about the the training.
