Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): State governor RN Ravi and the minister of Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along have mourned the sudden demise of Prof. CP Alexander, vice chancellor of ICFAI University Nagaland (IUN), who passed away on November 21 following a massive stroke.
In a condolence message, Ravi stated that Prof. CP Alexander was a prominent academician with vast administrative experience, who has contributed tremendously toward the growth of the university. He lamented that his demise was a great loss for the academic fraternity and added that the void created by his demise would take long time to fill up. He has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to Almighty God to grant solace and fortitude in their hour of grief and sorrow.
In a separate statement, Temjen Imna Along stated that Dr. Charles P Alexander was the vice chancellor of ICFAI University Nagaland and also former professor of Philosophy at Patkai Christian College.
He said the demise of Prof. CP Alexander is not only a loss to the students community but to the Naga society. He further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
