Dimapur, Oct. 30: Lotha Colony Football Club (LCFC) is all set to play for the 24th late Nyamo and late Daniel Lotha memorial running trophy 2018.
An introductory and prayer programme of LCFC players, who are also the defending champion of 2017, was held on Tue. Oct. 30 at the Lotha colony council hall in Dimapur.
Lotha colony council chairman Renathung Ezung exhorted the players to inculcate the four 'S'-sporting spirit, strength, stamina and sociable in the pitch to exhibit their game spirit.
The club's appearance at the 24th Lt Nyamo and Lt Daniel Lotha will be the third edition. The club was launched in the year 2016 where it emerged as the 1st runners-up and in 2017 the champion of the trophy.
Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur associate Pastor Langlongo Yanthan pronounced the prayer for the players.
LCFC players profile as introduced by the club president Mhachio Odyuo are:
- Renja Humtsoe plays for Neroca FC, Imphal.
- Nchumbemo Mozhui (Bangalore city FC)
- Benri Humtsoe, Wobenshan Humtsoe and Mhonjan Ovung will be playing in Goa League
- Benri Yanthan represents Nagaland State Sports Academy
- Zuben Kikon will be playing for under 18 I-League representing North East United.
- Opon Kikon (Bangalore FC)
- Achamo, Chenio, Longshi plays in Kohima League
- Chanchithung Yanthan (from Shillong Football Academy)
- Longshi Jami, Ashamo Tsopoe and Hatsabemo Lotha are young promising players.
