Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
The burdens that we carry and the hindrances that we encounter are all part of the process of our training in righteousness. In our pursuance of fulfilling God’s desires, our burdens become heavier as the Spirit makes known to us the realities which confronts the sinners. The realities of sinners suffering in hell often pricks our conscience and our burdens becomes heavier because of our concerns for the perishing souls. This is what we experience when we have the heart of Christ in us and the sufferings of our soul only intensifies as the ways of the sinners’ increases. In our ministry circle the virtue of love not only strengthens our relationship with God but it also renews our relationship with each other. The more we begin to embrace love, the more we begin to love God and sinners alike. The power of this beautiful relationship can be attributed to our Creator who gave all that He had that we may have all that we need. The 8th verse of the thirteenth chapter of the book of Romans states “Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another (Romans 13:8a). The 10th verse finally confirms that love is the fulfillment of the law. The beauty of this beautiful gift has not only beautified our relationship with God but it has also become a way of life to us. And the goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith ( 1st Timothy 1:5 ). These truths gave us a new lease of life and it ignited the sparks of our relationship which further inspired us to love God more as we began to love each other more and more.
The sufferings that we endure becomes each other’s concern because of what the purpose of our relationship is. The tears of grief and sadness that we shed on behalf of the sinners has become our way of life as the sins of the sinners increases. However inspite of all these sufferings, our passion for Christ and our love for the souls drives us to uphold each other as we add more members to the body of Christ. In this way we help and comfort each other through the law of Christ. The joy of carrying each other’s burden always gives us a reason to smile and rejoice even in the midst of sufferings and persecution. Even in death, in sicknesses and in sufferings our love for each other will always remain strong as we grow more and more in our relationship with God. This is what we write and speak in love and our joy is made complete by what Christ did for us. The God who loves us inspires us to love each other. We pledged to love each other as we committed our lives to God. These sums up the law of love and the virtues of it will only continue to grow. The souls are our burden and we help each other by comforting each other through the love of Christ. This is our war and we will continue to love each other more and more as we add more members to the Church of Christ. This is the law of Christ.
