Veritas CC and Esa Boys set up title clash in the Late I Pihoto Awomi Memorial Tournament in Sovima.

DIMAPUR — Veritas CC will face Esa Boys in the final of the ongoing Late I Pihoto Awomi Memorial Tournament at the GNR Ground in Sovima, Chümoukedima, on September 7 at 1:00 pm.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony will be held immediately after the final match, according to an update from the Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA).
In the first semi-final, Veritas CC registered a 122-run victory over Esa Legends. Batting first, Veritas CC posted 146 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs, with Anirudh Yadav scoring 36 off 41 balls and Sanjay scoring 36 off 26 balls, supported by Joshua Ben Ozukum with 27 off 19 balls and captain Nagaho Chishi with 19 off 16 balls.
In reply, Esa Legends were bowled out for 24 runs in 9.5 overs. Raja Swarnkar produced a bowling spell of 4 wickets for 7 runs, supported by Ranjan Kumar with 3 wickets for 3 runs and Hopongkyu Sangtam with 2 wickets for 5 runs. Raja Swarnkar was named Man of the Match.
In the second semi-final, Esa Boys defeated Victoria CC by 8 wickets, chasing down a target of 90 runs in 10.1 overs.
Batting first, Victoria CC managed 89 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs, with Protik Kalbhor scoring 20, D Kalu Rao making 15, Sunil Das contributing 14, and Sagar Saha adding 13 not out.
The bowling attack of Esa Boys was led by Tahmeed, who delivered a spell of 3 wickets for 8 runs in 4 overs, supported by Medempok Pongen with 2 wickets for 19 runs and Samir Ali with 2 wickets for 16 runs.
In the chase, Shiva Yadav led Esa Boys with 50 runs off 31 balls, including 5 boundaries and 3 sixes, while Samir Ali finished the match with 9 not out off 3 balls. Shiva Yadav was named Man of the Match for his half-century.
