Largest Van Heusen store in Northeast launched in Dimapur

Dec. 14 at the Circular Road, opposite Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School, in Dimapur. The store provides wrinkle-free suits and blazers, waistcoats, V dot jeans, wrinkle friendly tops, treggings, footwears for ladies and gents, handbags and purses, formal and casual shirts, inner wears, and athleisure, among others. The store also sells gym wear, the only store selling gym wear in Dimapur. Ayemi in his inaugural speech stated that Van Heusen by Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd. has arrived in Dimapur in a grand way. Admitting that the store would excite fashionmongers in Dimapur, he added that it would also generate employment opportunity for the local people. “The people of Nagaland need not go to other cities in quest of fashionable products anymore as they can get the world of fashion under one roof—in Van Heusen,” Ayemi stated. Vivek Jain, a franchisee for Van Heusen in Dimapur revealed the Van Heusen store in Dimapur has become the biggest store in the Northeast. Stating that providing employment to the local people of Nagaland was one of the priorities in opening the store, he said that there were 10 employees in the store presently. He added that employment in the store is exclusively reserved for the local people. Admitting that the store will provide best service to its customers, Jain stated that Van Heusen store would look forward to competitions from other retail stores in Dimapur. He added that he will be launching another retail store in Dimapur soon; the retail store will be launched as “VIP Luggage.” The Van Heusen store has an inaugural offer, in which customers will get INR 1000 discount for purchase of apparel more than INR 4999; INR 2000 discount for purchase of apparel worth INR 12,999; and INR 3000 discount to customers purchasing clothes worth INR 16,999. Van Heusen is partly named after Dutch immigrant, John Manning Van Heusen, who in 1910 invented a new process that fused cloth on a curve. Van Heusen is an American clothing company which owns brands such as Van Heusen, Tommy HilfigerCalvin KleinIZODArrow, Warner's, Olga, True & Co., and Geoffrey Beene.
