Dimapur, Sep. 2 (EMN): A committee, the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Tolic) on Aug. 31 conducted its biannual meeting at the ARTC&S in Dimapur. The meeting was presided over by Colonel Anil Yadav, commanding officer No. 2 Training Battalion, ARTC&S.
Central government offices situated in Dimapur attended the meet. Lt Colonel Bhavana Sharma, secretary of the committee addressed the meeting while Naib Subedar (Hindi translator) Deshraj, presented on various aspects of the Tolic meet. Representative from various govt. offices presented their inputs and reports on their progresses on implementation of “Rajbhasha Hindi” in their AORs and sectors.
After analysing the progress on implementation of Hindi in the central government offices in Dimapur, Colonel Anil Yadav, stressed on the importance of progressive use of Hindi language and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India.
He also emphasized on how motivational steps can be taken for implementation of Hindi in all offices.
Yadav applauded the efforts of the committee members for their continuous efforts on wide publicity of the official language.
Badri Yadav, Research officer (implementation), department of Official Language, Regional Implementation Office (Northeast region), also attended the meeting as the representative of Ministry of Home Affairs.
He requested all the heads of offices, banks and ‘PSUs’ situated in Dimapur town to attend the Tolic meet for effective implementation of the same in their offices.
He further informed the offices to submit their report online and on time to the department for speedy uploading of reports.
