Landslide disrupts traffic on NH 129A near Old Jalukie

• DIMAPUR — A major landslide struck a portion of National Highway-129A (Package-II) near Old Jalukie (Upper) around midnight on June 10, disrupting vehicular movement along the Peren-Dimapur stretch.

• The incident caused heavy debris to block the highway, rendering the affected section impassable for the time being. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, a construction team is currently engaged in clearance operations to restore normal traffic flow.

• In the interim, commuters have been advised to take a diversion via Old Jalukie to Peren Old Road to ensure safe passage.
