Former NBA star Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a brothel near Las Vegas, where he had downed cognac and took herbal Viagra as he partied with hookers for days, reports said.
The estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian was discovered by an employee in the VIP area with an open bottle of booze and mucous oozing from his mouth, according to TMZ.
“He just wanted to get away, have a good time and relax,” brothel owner Dennis Hof said.
Cops were called to Love Ranch in Crystal at about 3 p.m. Tuesday after an employee found Odom, a recovering drug addict, lying unconscious with “terrible” fluids coming out of his mouth and nose, the site said.
“A bunch of ugly stuff came out of him,” Hof said.
After Odom was stabilized and transported to the local Desert View Hospital, arrangements were made to transport him to a Vegas facility by helicopter, according to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office.
“It’s incredibly sad,” said Hof, who is known for his own onetime reality show, “Cathouse,” on HBO.
Kylie Jenner was holding an important live stream about her new app when news of Odom’s condition suddenly broke and the starlet had to end to show.“Had to end my live stream,” Jenner tweeted. “I love you guys.”
Some NBA stars also took to social media to give their prayers to the fallen athlete.
“PRAYERS all the way UP for my brother Lamar Odom!!!” tweeted Dwyane Wade.
“Prayers go out to Lamar Odom and his family please,” tweeted the Clippers’ Paul Pierce. “God anything u can do to help him thru this.”
Odom, 35, was breathing with the assistance of a machine early Wednesday and was in critical condition, TMZ said.
He devolved into drug and alcohol problems under the bright lights and scrutiny that comes with sports and the insatiable audience of reality television.
Odom, who won NBA championships with the Lakers in 2009 and 2010, last played in the NBA in 2013 and saw recent reality TV fame through his marriage to Khloe.
Kardashian filed for divorce in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce has not yet received final approval from a judge.
The two were married in 2009 in a large ceremony taped for the E! network, following a whirlwind engagement that was also filmed.
Odom was suspended during the 2000-01 season for violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy for the second time in eight months.
He was born in Jamaica, Queens, where he was raised by his grandmother after his mom died of cancer when he was 12. His father was a drug addict.
In 2006, Odom’s 6-month-old son Jayden died from SIDS while sleeping in his crib. He has a daughter, Destiny, and a son, Lamar Jr., from a previous relationship.
Tuesday night, the Lakers played an exhibition game in Las Vegas, where Odom’s former teammate Metta World Peace was distraught by the news.
“There’s not one word I could say that would make sense,” World Peace told reporters.
