Dimapur, March 3 (EMN): Kohima village youth organisation (KVYO) appealed to all fish vendors and crustaceans related market outlets and suppliers to adhere to the rules and regulations laid down by the food safety cell of health and family welfare department, while it warned that selling formalin laced fish in and around Kohima would be severely dealt with.
KVYO president, Dzüvinguzo Mepfhüo, and the general secretary, Vizoneilie Pienyü, have appreciated and thank the principal secretary, staff of food safety cell under health and family welfare department, and officials of Kohima municipal council (KMC) for their timely intervention and quick response in tackling the formalin laced fish menace in Nagaland.
KVYO has assured full support with the concerned department in curbing the menace and further appealed the authority to act promptly against those practicing illegal activities and penalised them as per the relevant sections of law.
