Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Peren, organised a one-day capacity building training for board of directors (BOD), CEO and accountant of four farmers producer organisation (FPO) of Jalukie, Ngwalwa Peren, Nsong Tening and Athibung blocks in its office on February 9.
An update from KVK Peren stated that Dr. L. Babita Devi, CTO (Animal Science)-cum-nodal office of FPO, chaired the programme and spoke on ‘Introduction and duties of BOD, CEO and accountants.’
It stated that Z James Kikon, ACTO (Soil Science) at KVK Peren, spoke on ‘Agri-business management in FPO,’ while Ruuvilie Kotsu, ADPM, NSRLM, spoke on ‘Convergence and marketing linkage for FPO,’ and Sangribro, accountant of NSRLM, spoke on ‘Book/ record keeping and preparation of report and other FPO related documents.’
Altogether, 33 participants including four accountants, four CEO and 25 BOD attended the training.
