KOHIMA, AUGUST 24: As part of its 25 years celebration, the Kohima Village Gazetted Officers Association (KVGOA) organised the kick off programme-cum-felicitation today at Kohima Village Council (KVC) Hall.
Starting today, a series of programmes including seminars, workshops, medical camp and mass social work, would be organized by the KVGOA till the grand finale scheduled on October 13, 2016.
The kick off programme today commenced by unfurling the association flag by KVGOA president Keviletuo Yiese, followed by the four presidents of the respective khels.
On the day, an e-SMS service (Bulk messaging) for the KVGOA members was launched by KD Vizo, Commissioner & Secretary IT& C, while KVC chairman, Medoselhou Keretsü also released the KVGOA handbook.
Speaking at the kick off programme, KVC chairman congratulated KVGOA for attaining 25 years, while he told the members to count on the many blessings God has blessed upon the village and the association in particular. He also lauded the efforts and services of the KVGOA members rendered to the society, while he urged them to continue contributing for the welfare and uplift of the Naga society.
The successful candidates of the NPSC examination who were felicitated included Seyiekhrietuo Solo, Kelengunuo Solo, Avonuo Kire, Kevizasinuo Mary Yhome, Vilhoulenuo Belho and Rüülhounuo Rita Sekhose, while the recipients of the Governor’s Gold Medal who were felicitated included Neivotuo Keyho, Ketholetuo Yhome and Medo Vizo.
Earlier, K Neibou Sekhose, convenor of organizing committee, highlighted the series of KVGOA 25th anniversary celebration, while the president of Kohima Village Students’ Union Vitsu Yhome and president of Kohima Village Youth Organisation Medozhatuo Rutsa delivered greetings.
The programme was chaired by Thinuokhrieü Tseikha, secretary organizing committee, and the vote of thanks was tendered by Er. Menuolhoulie Suokhrie, vice president KVGOA.
The programme was also attended by Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change, and Pele Khezhie, president, Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers Union (NCSU).
