Dimapur, August 24 (EMN): Kushiabill Village Council (KVC) has warned of stern action against anyone dealing in illegal trade within the village jurisdiction. The council has issued this notification on having observed that some non-residents of the village were dealing with sale of all kinds of illegal goods without the knowledge of the GBs and the village council without obtaining trade license from the village authority.
A joint press release issued by Sukheto Chishi and Temjen Mozer stated that the village council, in its meeting on September 17, 2016, had unanimously decided to ban sale of IMFL within the village jurisdiction failing which village council will take stern action.
In continuation with the council’s resolution, village GBs along with the village council chairman and secretary held an emergency meeting on August 19, 2017, at the residence of its village head GB Subash Mech and decided that the village authority will not take any responsibility in the event of troubles arising due to sale of illegal goods within the village jurisdiction.
