Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): Kuzhami Baptist Fellowship in Darogapathar, Dimapur, was dedicated on May 18 by Rev. Prof. Kelhizülo Lasuh, executive director of Kuzhami Baptist Churches Association.
In his sermon, Rev. Prof. Lasuh said the fellowship should provide a place to encourage people particularly from the community to worship together under one roof in their mother tongue. He also said the younger generations, particularly children with parents who have married into other communities, would have a place to worship and learn their mother tongue. He also called for unity in all spheres of daily life and urged the congregation to not only learn but also propagate the Gospel in their day to day lives.
The programme, which was attended by a congregation of over 350, was chaired by Kewete Lasuh, while the invocation prayer was said by Rev. Dr. Kenny Kapfo and a brief history of the fellowship was presented by Meyie Mero.
Special songs were presented by Kuzhami MI students, Kuzhami Baptist Association staff and CYE Kuzhami Baptist Church, Chumukedima. The benediction was pronounced by Ngupelhi Lomi, chairman of Kuzhami Baptist Association.
