Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): Kuzhalhu Zawe organised a thanksgiving programme on March 21 in Pfutsero town with the participation of
Kuzhami leaders including village council chairman, GBs and church leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Rev. Dr. VK Nuh recalled how God has richly blessed the community and reminded the gatherings to be grateful to God. Rev. Nuh urged the younger generations to uphold the golden principles of the Kuzhamis which guided the elders to live a life with honesty and integrity. He also urged the leaders and elders to guide the younger generation to live in honesty and integrity.
Stating that that everything they have is the gifts from God, he reminded Kuzhamis that there is nothing to boast about their possession but to live in the fear of God.
KG Kenye, MP Rajya Sabha, acknowledged God's special blessing on the Kuzhamis. He highlighted a brief history of how the Kuzhami Nagas migrated to the present place and urged the people to live wisely and promote peace and harmony.
Pointing out the important role play by the Kuzhamis in the formation of Chakhesang tribe, he challenged the gathering to uphold unity and integrity of the community.
Neiba Kronu, minister of planning and coordination and land revenue, who also spoke at the function, thanked the Kuzhalhu Zawe for organising thanksgiving programme by bringing together all the Kuzhami leaders from all walks of life.
He urged the community to rise above trivial issues of differences and forge together towards progress as a community. He cited how advanced countries move ahead inspire of complex challenges.
Kronu also spoke on the importance of proper utilisation of the limited resources to move ahead with economic development and progress. He made special emphasis on the need to provide good roads and electricity to promote economic development in the region. He further urged the community to promote and uphold unity of the Chakhesang.
MLA Kezhienyi Khalo, president of Chakhesang public organisation (CPO) Mikha Kenye, principal secretary MK Mero, and CBCC executive secretary Rev. Khrotso Mero also exhorted the gathering.
