Dimapur, February 25
The ‘Myanmar unit’ of the Konyak Union (KU) and Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) have expressed strong support to the NSO in welcoming the peace mission initiated by the Naga Hoho and ENPO team ‘to bring peaceful atmosphere in Naga inhabited areas.’
While appreciating the NSO for mobilizing the public, the two organizations have requested the former to ‘maintain peace and free public movement especially in border areas or effected villages.’
It was alleged that the Assam Rifles ‘had cut off the road connectivity from Chen Moho via Throilu and even imposed restriction on innocence public from buying or exchanges of goods on basic necessities,’ the two organizations said in a note issued on February 24.
“Our effected villagers are living in miserable condition. We have not yet received any infrastructure facilities. So we request yours helping hand towards us and protect us from intolerable circumstances in every daily life,” the two organizations stated.
