Dimapur, Oct. 15 (EMN): Kuki Inpi Nagaland (KIN) and the Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) have mourned the demise of former Interim Board Member (IBM) member, Lutjakai Haokip, who passed away on October 13.
Lutjakai was a prominent figure among the Kukis and the first Interim Body Member of the current Nagaland state in the year 1961 - 1963. He dedicated all his life for for social welfare. He was a pioneer in the establishment of Ahthibung town, recently upgraded to SDO (C), the headquarters of most Kuki civil societies.
KIN, in a press release issued by its secretary Lallenmang Singson stated that his immense contributions to the society and nation would never be forgotten even in the days to come. KIN has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
In another statement, the Kuki Students’ Organisation Nagaland (KSON) has mourned the demise of Lutjakai Kuki, who passed away on October 13 at Zion Hospital, Dimapur.
KSON media cell stated that “His dedication and self-sacrifice in the service of his people would remains etched in the mind of every person who has ever got the opportunity to know him.”
KSON further sympathised with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
