Kuki community in Jalukie organises picnic

[caption id="attachment_280774" align="alignnone" width="565"] Kuki community of Jalukie town pose for a photograph during its first annual get-together-cum-picnic on October 30.[/caption] Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): The 1st annual get-together-cum-picnic of Kuki Fellowship Jalukie and Kuki Union Jalukie Town (KUJT) was held on October 30 at Baptist High School, Jalukie. A press release from KUJT media and publicity secretary, Seiminngam, stated that the Kuki Fellowship and Kuki Union Jalukie Town was formed with a vision to bring the Kuki community of Jalukie town together and foster unity among the members as well as to empower its students educationally. On the occasion, the organisers revived the Kuki Youth and Student’s Union Jalukie Town and formed a new team to promote social-culture and educational development. Different sports and other recreational activities both for young and adult was conducted in the day-long programme. Prizes to the winners were given away by Nguljang Sitlhou, secretary KFJ, while Lamhao Sitlhou, chaplain of KFJ, pronounced the blessing for the newly elected officer bearers of KYSUJ. Altogether, 500 members including students, parents, invitees and well-wishers participated in the programme.
