Dimapur, Jan. 4 (EMN): Cultural activities and indigenous games marked the 35th biennial general conference of Kuhuboto Area Students’ Union (KASU) held on January 4 in Kuhuboto town.
A press note informed that an entrepreneur, Electo Yesca attended the inaugural session as the guest of honour, who in her address, urged young people to first seek God’s blessing in everything they do.
Reminding the students that there was no substitute to hard work, she urged the students to work hard with commitment and determination to achieve their goals. Yesca also encouraged the educated youth to take initiative and lead young people in the right direction.
During the event, Tokugha Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Luzheto Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, Suhoi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu, and Kuhuboto town presented cultural items. Indigenous games such as fire-making, cart racing and spear kicking were among other displayed during the programme.
According to the updates, the four-day event would witness sporting activities such as volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and loop race. Cultural activities, indigenous games, and literary competition would also be held.
