Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): Under the aegis of Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, the Kuda Village Thenuko Krotho (Kuda Village Women Organisation, Dimapur in collaboration with CAN Youth organised a training for master trainers on paper bag making on Aug. 3 at the Community Hall , Kuda village in Dimapur. During the programme, Vimenuo Liegise, vice president of Naga Women Hoho Dimapur highlighted the importance of paper bags and the purpose of the training. She encouraged the trainers to train more women in the Kuda village in order to make the village a plastic free zone as well as for the livelihood purpose,
Chief Functionary CAN Youth Jenpu Rongmei, shared the importance of preserving the environment by making it a plastic free zone. He motivated the mothers to be the role model for their children and community as a whole. Sharing his struggle in the past years he thanked the mothers for their support towards plastic free zone and encouraged them to carry their own paper bags instead of plastic bags which we get from the shop.
President of Naga Women Hoho, Dimapur, Sungsabeni Jamio, spoke on the responsibility of every individual in taking good care of our mother earth. She expressed her support towards the plastic free zone, especially the Kuda Village Thenuko Krotho for coming forward and learning how to make paper bags. She requested all the people present there to carry their own water bottles, spoon, and plates during any social to minimise using plastics bits and to safe environment.
