Dimapur, June 11 (EMN): Konyak Union (KU) has, in a strongest term, condemned the June 7 firing incident, which took place within its jurisdiction resulting in the dead of 5 persons.
KU vice president, Manlip Konyak and the general secretary Honang Konyak stated that Konyaks, since time immemorial, stood for peace and reconciliation and had always bannered its undefying stance for early and peaceful solution.
While condemning the incident, KU release said such act will only result in a state of social and political chaos and nothingness. Terming such killings as inhumane, the Konyak Union questioned from both the parties if any solution had been attained from the killing incident?
While appealing to every citizen to honour and preserve the sanctity of the Konyak soil, KU warned that any group resorting to such activities would be considered as a threat against the integrity of the Konyaks and a war against civilisation. It also appealed to all concerned to abstain/ restrain from any act of killings.
The Union also strongly condemned the activities of those informants which had resulted in bloodshed and grief in the families today. Konyak Union earnestly appealed to all human residing within its jurisdiction to be a transformed agent of peace.
