KTU/NSCN seeks support for Muivah’s visit to Somdal

DIMAPUR — The NSCN (IM)'s Kuki Tribal Union (KTU/NSCN) has called for widespread support from individuals, civil society organisations, churches, and student bodies across Nagalim to welcome the proposed visit of NSCN (IM) Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah to his native village Somdal on October 22.


In a press release, the KTU/NSCN stated that Muivah dedicated his entire life to the cause of Nagalim, proudly shaping its destiny and championing the recognition of the Naga people's unique history to the whole stage.


It stated that under the leadership of the late Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah, a defining milestone was achieved with the signing of the Framework Agreement between the Government of India and the NSCN on August 3, 2015, a moment that would “forever be etched in the annals of Naga history.”

“The visit of our honourable Ato Kilonser and his beloved wife will undoubtedly be a deeply emotional and momentous occasion. Let us unite in a spirit of gratitude, solidarity and profound respect to witness and celebrate this historic moment.”


Commending Muivah (Ava Kharar) for his unwavering commitment to the Naga cause and his vision for a “sovereign Nagalim,” the Kuki Tribal Union, on behalf of Kuki stakeholders within Nagalim, pledged solidarity and support to the NSCN/GPRN leadership in their pursuit for a peaceful and lasting solution to the Naga issue.


“The Kuki Tribal Union (KTU/NSCN) calls upon all stakeholders to join us in extending a warm welcome to Th. Muivah. May his visit bring joy, peace and prosperity to the people of Nagalim,” the release added.
