
Sudanvito Justin and Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu along with the
officials of Kiusam Town Students’ Union during its 29th
session-cum-felicitation programme.
- DIMAPUR — The
Kiusam Town Students’ Union (KTSU) held its 29th session- cum-felicitation
programme on December 29 and 30. The felicitation programme was organised in
honour of Sudanvito Justin, who passed in Nagaland Public Service Commission
(NPSC) examination from the Tikhir tribe.
- Speaking at the felicitation programme Sudanvito, Women
Resource Development Officer (WRDO), expressed his gratitude to God and the
church members for their continued prayer support throughout his journey as a
student. He recalled how the church members would asked him and his friends to
the front for prayer each time they come home for holiday. He added that those
blessings remained throughout his journey till achieving his goal.
- He took four years to clear his examination (NPSC). He
recounted that there were moments when he was tempted to give up because of the
painful struggles in his life. He stated that it was because of the blessings
of the community that kept the undying ember to pursue his studies.
- He further encouraged the students to transform the painful
struggles for good.
- Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu, guest speaker and priest in-charge
of St. John Kiusam Church, spoke on ‘Study quality not quantity.’ He said
studying quality needs focus mind, self-discipline, prioritising quality over
quantity.
- “Studying the totality can lead to the excellence in
quality. Study quality needs wholeness learning that leads to most important
questions and answers. The focus mind requires conducive environment, time
management, good health and understanding the depth over breath,” Fr. Toretkiu
said.
- The programme beagn with the a prayer lead by women pastor
of KTBC, while the welcome address was delivered by Shahoto T, president of
Kiusam Town Students’ union (KTSU).
- Speeches were also delivered by LY Tokim, president of
TBGsA; Thangpong, Head GB; Khesang, public leader; T Lintsushi, former general
secretary of KTSU; and K Kheapong.
