Chaba’s brace lift Addax FC to victory over Forerunners' FC

Kohima, Sep. 1 (EMN): Imlongchaba scored two goals as Addax FC beat Forerunners FC 3-0 in the first quarterfinal match of the KTC Cup 2017 organised by Kohima Town Club at the Kohima local ground on Friday.
A defensive error from Forerunners FC side helped Imlongchaba to score two goals in five minutes in the first half and Shiirhosul completed the treble in the 72nd minute to finish the game.
Forerunners FC had a hard time as they hit the woodwork twice in the first half but failed to find the back of the net throughout the match.During the match, a yellow card was issued to Neingurietuo (4) of Forerunners' FC.
Addax FC will now face the winner played between Ziekezou SC and Khriekesa FC in the semi final match of the KTC Cup 2017 on September 6.
Earlier S.Neibou Sekhose, President, Kohima District Football Association graced the inaugural function of 1st KTC Cup 2017-cum- Kohima Football League Trophy as the special invitee.
In his short speech, he lauded the initiative of Kohima Town Club and also congratulated the KFL 2017 champion Ziekezou Sporting Club and urged the club to shine continuously even in other tournament and bring laurels to the State.
“We all have tendencies to criticise the works of other which we are suppose to do or give a helping hand, the time has come, we all need to come together and contribute for the welfare of our State, especially for our younger generation and together we can create a better world.” said S.Neibou Sekhose.
He cited the example of Dr. T. Ao stating that to be the best or on the top you need to walk an extra miles, don’t depend on clubs, association or government work like Dr. T Ao as he set as an example whose hard work and commitment propelled him towards achieving excellence in the twin disciplines of sports and Academy.
Today we may not have the world standard ground, but we have football grounds to practice, latest football kits and so it's up to you to have a strong determination to excel than you can also become like Dr.T.Ao said S.Neibou Sekhose.
