Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): The Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has opposed the redeployment policy for teachers introduced by the department of School Education in the middle of the academic session.
The students’ body urged the department to retain the post-graduate teachers from Mon district who were affected by the recent redeployment policy.
Italso appealed for exclusion of Mon district from the policy till replacement is being made.
A press statement jointly appended by the union president and education secretary stated that the policy has adversely affected the students of the district as no teachers from other districts have been deployed in Mon.
The KSU said the union is against the transfer and redeployment of its teachers to other districts.
Further, it appealed the department to withhold and retain the same, failing which it would not allow such policy within its district in the future.
