The soil conservation department has also misused Rs.142 crores giving no benefit to the public, while the Food & Civil Supplies department needs inquiry on PDS for distribution of low quality commodities to beneficiaries. The PWD department is also one of the worst departments without taking up any construction works, but money sanctioned from State government are being swindled off.
KSA, President, Simeon Rongphar said, ‘today we cut our hair signifying that we are being treated by the government as step mother in protest against the granting of Autonomous we the activities of KSA making bald our head.’
If Gorkhaland issue will be discussed in the parliament then our long pending issue of Autonomous State issue should also be discussed, if not then rigorous steps will be taken, added Rongphar.
General secretary, KSA Thomson Rongpi said as the BJP is in power at the centre, state as well as in Karbi Anglong then why to book one compartment of train to go to New Delhi for demanding Autonomous State.
Convenor, SYC Dr. Mongve Rongpi said BJP’s promise was to bring change (parivartan). Now four years of BJP in power at the centre, but no changes has been witnessed. The BJP’s promise of filling up Rs. two lakhs in every account, but not a single paisa is added into the public account. He lamented that instead of adding money into public account, Modi government is deducting money from each account of those unable to maintain the minimum bank balance of Rs. 2000. When Modi is extracting money from public can it be termed as development, Dr. Rongpi questioned.
