DIMAPUR — Minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, on Thursday committed to strive for a brighter future so that the community and Nagas can come together and make its collective aspiration become a reality.
Kruse stated this during a thanksgiving programme on her completing one year in office, which was organised by the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) of 8 Western Angami Assembly Constituency (AC). The minister also highlighted some of the projects which are soon to be undertaken under the Western Angami region.
She attributed the electoral success to the people of the Western Angami saying, “It is because of our joint effort, God has answered our prayers where we won by seven votes and we created history. It is not I, but it was the 8th Western Angami, who created the history.”
On the upcoming Lok Sabha election, she sought the support and cooperation of the Western Angami region, stated an update from NDPP 8th Western Angami AC.
In her welcome address, AC president of NDPP women wing, Kazheli Ali Tungoe, called for unity, support and cooperation of all the party workers and strengthen the hands of the minister and the party.
In his presidential speech, Mhiesilhoukho Yalie, congratulated the minister and described as a significant day for the assembly constituency. He thanked all the members of the 19 units under Western Angami for their constant support and cooperation.
He expressed hope that with God’s blessing and guidance and the support of the people, the constituency would achieve greater things in the future under the leadership of the minister.
On the Lok Sabha election, he requested the party members to be mentally prepared to support the PDA consensus candidate, Dr. Chumben Murry.
The programme was chaired by Rovilhousie Miasalhou, working president, while Neino Zhotso, pastor of Minister’s Hill Baptist Church, invoked God’s blessings.
